CNC Plasma Table Programmer

About This Role

This role involves creating programs for CNC Plasma tables, plate rolls, and press brake machines. The programmer will utilize part nesting software to maximize material utilization and ensure continuous machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Create programs for CNC Plasma table, plate roll, and press brake machines utilizing part nesting software
• Create files and daily nesting plans for the CNC plasma table
• Ensure all materials are routed properly and enough nested jobs are prepared to keep machines running
• Monitor and maintain inventory of drop materials to maximize utilization and reduce scrap
• Cycle count plate inventory and maximize utilization through nesting, ensuring strategic consumption of raw materials
• Compare on hand material to SAP counts
• Read and interpret manufacturer drawings and create CNC files for plasma cutting tables, plate rolls, and brake press to produce parts for fabrication

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 0-2 years 1 year of experience drafting or CNC programming
• 0-2 years 1 year of experience with AUTOCAD 2D
• 0-2 years 1 year of experience with SAP
• 0-2 years 1 year of experience with .DXF, .DWG and various print file types
• 0-2 years 1 year of experience building spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent is preferred.
• 0-2 years 1 year of experience drafting or CNC programming, AUTOCAD 2D, SAP, and various print file types.
