Intern-Technologist Surgical

About This Role

This role involves cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment following infection control guidelines. The intern will manage these processes while participating in performance improvement and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Manage decontamination, sterilization, distribution, and storage of supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate fiscal management practices
• Maintain the proper environment of care
• Participate in ongoing education
• Complete all assigned goals

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a school of surgical or cardiovascular technologist program
• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format
• Skill to write legibly and record information accurately
• Computer literacy
• Meets or exceeds all academic requirements
