Intern Nurse II

About This Role

This role provides technical assistance to a defined group of patients in the ICU at BMH Memphis Hospital under the direction of a registered nurse to achieve quality outcomes. The Nurse Intern II contributes to and implements patient care plans and participates in activities to improve healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients under the direction of a registered nurse
• Contribute to the development of patient care plans under the direction of a registered nurse
• Implement patient care plans under the direction of a registered nurse
• Evaluate patient care plans under the direction of a registered nurse
• Provide patient care and assistance to nursing staff as directed
• Participate in activities designed to improve health care delivery
• Build knowledge base regarding clinical leadership
• Participate in ongoing educational activities
• Complete assigned goals

Requirements

• Graduate of a registered nursing program awaiting licensure
• Computer literacy
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire date

Qualifications

• Graduate of a registered nursing program awaiting licensure
• Graduate of a registered nursing program awaiting licensure (not longer than 90 days from graduation)
