Interior Designer - Emerging Professional

About This Role

This role is for an emerging professional Interior Designer to collaborate on diverse projects through all phases of design and construction, contributing to design excellence. The designer will work as part of a team, utilizing current technologies to create innovative interior architecture concepts and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as part of a team on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction
• Assist in the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications
• Apply established interior design standards and project checklists during all project phases
• Participate in building assessments and field verification activities
• Generate interior architecture concepts with Senior Designer(s) including space planning, millwork development, and finish pallet selection
• Research and select finishes, materials, products, fixtures, and furniture for projects
• Maintain resource materials library and coordinate with local product representatives
• Attend project meetings and site visits, writing detailed meeting minutes and reports
• Support business development activities through assistance with presentations and renderings
• Review completed plans, reports, estimates, and calculations prior to supervisor review

Requirements

• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience; entry level position

Nice to Have

• Previous relevant internship experience in commercial design
• Previous employment in commercial design
