This role is for a Senior Intelligence Analyst Subject Matter Expert to support a federal agency's threat watchlisting and screening mission. The analyst will analyze highly complex problems, apply expert-level analytic tradecraft, and use conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation to identify solutions. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to engage with senior executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Program Manager to establish priorities and plan across the contract, engaging with customers to understand changing needs and requirements
- Ensure operational coverage for all critical areas to meet 24/7/365 requirements and priorities identified by Government Leadership
- Plan, organize, and direct team study work and negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations
- Provide timely responses to email and phone calls, including after-hours coordination when needed
- Assist the PM to fill vacancies with fully qualified candidates in a timely and efficient manner
- Create and properly document activities in accordance with policies and procedures
- Develop knowledge of government program goals, objectives, key program events, and evaluation methods
- Design and conduct comprehensive management and/or program studies and develop logical, clear, and well-documented recommendations and conclusions
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, to advise and guide executive management on various issues
- Lead and supervise a team of junior analysts with oversight from Government leadership
- Conduct research and analysis of data, information, and intelligence to produce a wide range of finished all-source intelligence products
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and working groups, providing strategic and operational analysis
Requirements
- Mastery knowledge of applicable theories, principles, practices, approaches, and techniques of research, survey methodology, and analysis concepts
- Expert knowledge and mastery in the application of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for program assessment and improvement
- Comprehensive knowledge and/or ability to learn administrative laws, executive orders, directives, policies, regulations, and precedents related to US Government watchlisting and screening
- Extensive familiarity with applicable IC directives, analytic tradecraft standards, and reporting cycles
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Demonstrated problem-solving experience
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to provide multi-faceted intelligence products
- Ability to conduct research and analysis of data, information, and intelligence
- Ability to be flexible to perform a wide variety of tasks, change focus quickly, and adapt to meet mission requirements
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook applications
- Ability to work with and engage the customer daily
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience is preferred
Nice to Have
- Interagency experience within the Intelligence Community or federal law enforcement
- Counterintelligence and/or Counterterrorism experience in a national level intelligence agency
- Degree in security or intelligence studies with a recommended focus on terrorism or other transnational security threats
- Completion certificate from a commercial, military, or US government all source analysis training course or a specialized intelligence career field
