Data Scientist with Security Clearance

About This Role

This role involves data architecture, modeling, design, and administration, with a focus on database and cloud computing. The Data Scientist will also be involved in systems development and enterprise-level data store configuration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data architecture
• Understand and apply database structure principles
• Perform data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration
• Utilize data visualization, data migration, and data modeling techniques
• Manage and administer relational database management systems (DBMS) and DBMS software like SQL Server
• Design and implement database and cloud computing architectures, including data lakes
• Configure and administer enterprise-level data stores, ETL/ELT methods, and data transport
• Gather and analyze system requirements
• Utilize version control systems such as Git
• Develop solutions using Java and Python programming languages
• Work within Linux, Unix, Solaris, and Windows environments
• Apply Agile development methodologies and JIRA
• Support systems development, including SDLC, project management, requirements, design, and testing

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance
• Experience in data architecture
• Understanding of database structure principles
• Experience in data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration
• Experience in data visualization, data migration, and data modeling
• Experience in relational database management systems (DBMS)
• Experience in DBMS software, including SQL Server
• Experience in database and cloud computing design, architectures and data lakes
• Experience in configuration and administration of enterprise level data stores, ETL and ELT methods, and batch and streaming data transport
• Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
• Experience with Version control systems such as Git
• Experience with programming languages Java and Python
• Experience with Linux, Unix, Solaris and Windows
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and JIRA
• Experience working in a fast-paced, technically challenging area; ability to anticipate and manage changes or problems; assess impacts and recommend sound solutions
• Experience in systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches and requirements, and design and testing techniques

• Experience with Sponsor networks, systems and services
• Experience delivering solutions with AWS cloud services
• Experience with AWS Cloud storage technologies including RDS, DynamoDB and S3
• Experience in database technologies to include but not limited to Oracle, SQLServer, and Postgres
• Experience with Oracle Databases
• Experience with Full stack environment
• Experience building automation tools such as Gradle, Maven
• Experience with the development of system prototypes and proof of concept
• Experience with the Sponsor's authentication and authorization process
• Experience with supporting enterprise level production systems
• Experience briefing technical topics to a non-technical audience
• Strong oral and written communication
• AWS Certification or other relevant certifications
