The Integrated Logistic Support Test Manager will oversee and manage field testing operations for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), specializing in advanced electrical troubleshooting and repair. This role involves substantial on-water testing, travel for test events and training, and mentoring other engineers while developing customer support and operational technical manuals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage field testing operations for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs)
- Conduct on-water testing to validate AUV performance, reliability, and compliance with specifications
- Travel to various locations for test events, training sessions, and customer support activities
- Use advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair AUV systems, including electrical components
- Mentor and train field/test/customer support engineers in AUV operations, providing guidance on electrical/software troubleshooting and repair techniques
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring thorough testing and documentation of results
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues, providing feedback for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during field operations
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on test results, maintenance activities, and any identified issues
- Act as a liaison between customers and engineering teams, providing technical support and addressing customer concerns
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in field testing, troubleshooting, and repair of AUVs or related underwater systems
- Strong background in electrical troubleshooting and repair, with the ability to mentor and train others
- Hands-on experience with AUV operations and testing on the water
- Experience preparing clear and concise reports and documentation
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety protocols
- Active Secret Clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 9 years prior related experience with a Bachelor's Degree, 7 years with a Graduate Degree, or 13 years in lieu of a degree. Proven experience in field testing, troubleshooting, and repair of AUVs or related underwater systems.
Nice to Have
- Prior military service, especially US Navy
- Six-pack Captain’s license (equivalent or greater)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with data analysis and test documentation
- Experience in working, operating and/or designing autonomous underwater vehicles
- Experience at sea and working with AUVs
- Experience working DoD programs
