About This Role

As an Insurance Solutions Manager, you will leverage your expertise in insurance domain and processes like underwriting, rating, policy administration, and claims to deliver effective solutions to clients. You will manage and oversee team deliverables, client relationships, and contribute to business development within Deloitte's Financial Services Industry consulting practice.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with top decision makers at key clients
  • Organize and lead proposal development process and pursuit teams
  • Contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
  • Develop and execute client workshops
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge, insights, trends, and proven approaches to help clients confirm priorities
  • Develop insight-based hypotheses for the future vision to influence strategy, vision, and prioritization of capabilities
  • Oversee project delivery including engagement planning and budgeting
  • Mobilize and manage cross functional engagement teams
  • Define deliverable structure and content and facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from client executives
  • Direct on-time, quality deliverables and manage engagement economics and risk
  • Develop and foster relationships with clients and establish credibility as a trusted advisor
  • Contribute to Deloitte's thought leadership and play a significant role in business development activities
  • Own responsibility for the development of junior staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years consulting or relevant Insurance experience within Property & Casualty, Commercial lines, Specialty Insurance and/or Life & Annuities/Group
  • 6 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Rating, Policy Administration, Claims or Distribution
  • 6 years' experience in logical structuring, storyboarding and/or presentation development using PowerPoint
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years consulting or relevant Insurance experience, and 6 years in Insurance Products, Underwriting, Rating, Policy Administration, Claims or Distribution, and 6 years experience in logical structuring, storyboarding and/or presentation development using PowerPoint

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD)
  • 4 years' experience managing at least one large Business Integration effort and project team
  • 6 years' experience in Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar package
  • 4 years' experience in Life & Annuities Solutions with FAST, Sapiens, Calcfocus, ALIP, Vertafore/VUE, iPipeline iGo, Firelight or Unqork (specific to Life, Annuities and Group)
  • 4 years' experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
