Insulator/Metalman

About This Role

The Insulator/Metalman will apply, remove, and repair insulating material on various structures to control noise and maintain temperatures, ensuring adherence to blueprints and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and select required insulation material
• Work at heights safely
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material
• Determine and select appropriate insulation material based on its properties, location, and equipment use
• Measure and cut insulation material to specified sizes and shapes
• Fit, wrap, or attach insulation material around or to structures according to blueprint specifications
• Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape

Requirements

• Ability to apply, remove, and repair insulating material
• Proficiency in reading blueprints
• Ability to work at heights
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience
