Instructor/Facilitator Independent Contractor

About This Role

Chi-Chack LLC is seeking an Instructor/Facilitator Independent Contractor to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Strategic Threats Department. This role involves preparing and presenting instruction blocks on strategic arms control courses and participating in group discussions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present instruction blocks on the history of strategic arms control from 1968 to the present.
• Present selected topics pertaining to INF, START, and New START treaties.
• Provide expert perspectives on arms control concepts, national security priorities, and relevant arms control treaties, including emerging nuclear arms control regime policies.
• Participate in panel discussions during the course regarding relevant arms control treaties, agreements, and risk reduction measures, including challenges to future nuclear agreement negotiations and implementation.
• Provide draft briefings to the government/OB-STO for approval 21 days prior to the class start date.
• Provide briefings and/or student materials to the OB-OSP Course Manager 15 days prior to the class start date.

Requirements

• In-depth experience with negotiating and/or implementing bilateral arms control agreements and treaties
• Experience with forming arms control policy through professional engagements with the broader arms control community and private sector

Qualifications

• In-depth experience with negotiating and/or implementing bilateral arms control agreements and treaties missions either as a member of on-site teams or as a member of a negotiating body. Experience should also include work that has or does contribute to the formation of arms control policy through professional engagements with the broader arms control community of the USG, the private sector and academia.
