About This Role

Instructors/Facilitators will provide specialized training and education to government clients, specifically the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Strategic Threats Department, focusing on strategic arms control and non-proliferation. This role involves preparing and presenting instructional blocks, leading discussions, and contributing experience-based perspectives on U.S. nuclear arms control policy development and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present instructional blocks on the history of strategic arms control from 1968 to the present
  • Present selected topics or issues pertaining to INF, START, and New START treaties
  • Provide expert perspectives on arms control concepts, national security priorities, and relevant treaties
  • Participate in panel discussions regarding arms control treaties, agreements, and risk reduction measures
  • Develop draft briefings for government approval
  • Provide briefings and student materials to the OB-OSP Course Manager

Requirements

  • In-depth experience with negotiating and/or implementing bilateral arms control agreements and treaties
  • Experience contributing to arms control policy formation
  • Top Secret security clearance

Qualifications

  • In-depth experience with negotiating and/or implementing bilateral arms control agreements and treaties, either as a member of on-site teams or a negotiating body. Experience contributing to the formation of arms control policy through engagements with USG, private sector, and academia.
