Serve as an expert Information Review and Release Analyst, managing cases from initial request to final release decision in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). This role supports the Intelligence Community by reviewing and redacting classified documents, collaborating with various agencies, and ensuring accurate and timely information release.
Responsibilities
- Review and redact classified documents, records, and files in accordance with established standard operating procedures, workflows, and policies
- Submit requests to scanning and search teams for data relevant to cases
- Collaborate with supervisory client POCs to recommend and implement process, workflow, and SOP improvements
- Work an eight-hour shift between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday
- Infrequently provide surge support outside of normal office hours for short-fused emergent requests
- Research requests for the release of information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
- Serve as an analyst and case manager, creating case documentation and researching prior requests
- Review information and make recommendations for releasability, collaborating with other government agency (OGA) counterparts prior to final consolidation
- Apply critical-thinking skills when evaluating each unique case
- Utilize a broad array of customer systems and tools to conduct the review and release process
Requirements
- Minimum of 11+ years of experience with the client, ideally within multiple directorates/divisions, with an expert understanding of equities to be protected
- OR 11+ years of experience in a position requiring analytic skills and a demonstrated familiarity with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
- Active TS//SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment
- Driven self-starter who collaborates with client staff and adapts to new processes
- Team player willing to collaborate and develop robust relationships with clients, colleagues, and technical teams
- Skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and multitask to meet tight deadlines
- Goal-oriented individual able to apply critical thinking and provide out-of-the-box solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and various management levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any liberal arts, scientific or technical discipline is equivalent to three (3) years of relevant experience; a Master's degree is equivalent to an additional one (1) year of experience
- 11+ years of experience with the client, ideally within multiple directorates/divisions, or 11+ years in a position requiring analytic skills (such as intelligence analysts, foreign disclosure officers, CD/CI/CT analysts, etc.) with demonstrated familiarity with FOIA requirements.
Nice to Have
- At least six years of experience as a declassification review analyst for the client
