Industrial Engineer Manager

About This Role

Lead a team of engineers in the Propulsion Systems Production Engineering organization to drive transformational change, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure efficient utilization of facilities and personnel. You will be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives and complex capacity assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to develop, define and improve manufacturing and functional processes
• Develop complex Capacity Assessments across Northrop Grumman Utah facilities
• Initiate continuous improvement activities to create high-quality and efficient processes
• Implement and maintain Standard Work metrics and take action to continually improve
• Establish and manage metrics for effective group management
• Foster an environment of cooperation and teamwork with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines and departments
• Manage execution of engineering, operations and program requirements to cost and schedule objectives
• Drive timely and clearly communicated decisions and recommendations
• Advocate high standards for quality and safety
• Maintains and drives technical excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
• 9+ years of engineering experience, including experience with methods, program planning, cost analysis and scheduling
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of people management/leadership experience
• 5+ years of experience training professionals in lean and business transformation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
• Minimum 9 years of engineering experience, including experience with methods, program planning, cost analysis and scheduling. Minimum of 5 years of experience of people management/leadership.
