Lead U.S. sales and use tax compliance and audit defense for a global manufacturing organization. This is a high-visibility role with an opportunity to improve and scale indirect tax processes.
Responsibilities
- Own sales & use tax compliance and filings
- Lead and manage state/local tax audits
- Oversee exemption certificates and taxability determinations
- Partner with Finance and Operations to improve tax processes
- Optimize ERP tax systems (SAP, Vertex, Avalara or similar)
- Identify risk and reduce audit exposure
Requirements
- 8+ years of indirect tax experience
- Strong U.S. sales & use tax expertise
- Audit defense experience
Qualifications
- 8+ years of indirect tax experience
Nice to Have
- Manufacturing or industrial experience
