HVAC 2 DX Technician

About This Role

This role involves supporting the ongoing management and operations of building and plant assets, focusing on enhancing the life cycle and performance of equipment at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport client's facilities. The HVAC 2 DX Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of direct expansion refrigeration systems and other HVAC equipment, as well as providing hands-on instruction to team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on direct expansion refrigeration systems and four pipe primary and secondary HVAC equipment
• Use standard HVAC testing equipment to identify, troubleshoot, and repair deficiencies with HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install Liebert data room cooling systems
• Provide hands-on instruction and guidance to new and existing team members
• Support 90+ MDF/IDR (IT and Telecom) rooms at Atlanta Airport, including preventive maintenance and repair or replacement of temperature control systems
• Use lifts and ladders to perform assignments, potentially in various weather conditions
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
• Operate basic technology such as a computer, tablet, and radio
• Perform work during off hours when necessary due to accessibility

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Universal EPA 608 Certification
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
• 3 years’ work experience maintaining and operating HVAC and other equipment in an industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environment
• Competent in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of Liebert data room cooling systems
• Ability to use standard HVAC testing equipment
• Ability to use lifts and ladders
• Basic typing skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 3 years work experience maintaining and operating HVAC and other equipment in an industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

• Associate's degree from 2-year accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience
• 5 years’ work experience maintaining and operating HVAC and other equipment in an industrial, commercial or manufacturing environment
