About This Role

This HR Generalist role involves managing human resource programs, policies, and employee relations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at ProAmpac's Buena Park facility, ensuring compliance and supporting a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit hourly and salary roles
  • Be visible to employees on the production floor and address their questions or concerns
  • Implement and administer programs and policies compliant with organizational values, labor laws, and regulations
  • Support the execution of the Performance Management Process
  • Administer talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Retention following Federal, Local, and Company requirements
  • Manage employee and labor relations
  • Ensure affirmative action and equal employment compliance
  • Review and update timekeeping, and process payroll changes/corrections
  • Organize, maintain, and update employee files and HRIS systems
  • Provide support for ProAmpac's Total Rewards, Compensation, and Benefit Programs
  • Ensure HR systems maintain integrity and data accuracy
  • Support ProAmpac culture and core values, drive engagement and positive employee experience through strong change management and communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development or 3+ years related experience
  • Solid working knowledge of HR processes and related manufacturing
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Teams and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and protect privacy of confidential/sensitive information
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations)
  • Proactive, sound judgment and decision making, ability to identify problems and develop solutions
  • Proficient in Recruiting, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development from a four-year college; or equivalent combination of the two
  • 3+ years related experience and / or training in a large manufacturing organization
