As a Payroll Strategy and Operate Manager, you will guide clients through analyzing current payroll processes, identify pain points, and offer solutions. You will advise clients on technology options, leveraging automation and GenAI tools to improve payroll functions, and lead teams in project delivery and strategic planning for practice growth.
Responsibilities
- Guide clients to analyze current payroll processes, identify pain points, and offer solutions
- Advise clients on technology options to improve overall Payroll function, leveraging automation and GenAI tools
- Demonstrate leadership experience and take accountability for team outputs
- Lead teams, deliver work, and design work efforts
- Actively participate in the sales process to support strategic planning and practice growth
- Provide input into how to best select, develop and grow people
Requirements
- 6+ years of related experience in Payroll operations
- 6+ years of Consulting experience
- 4+ years experience leading requirements gathering workshops or facilitating meetings
- 4+ years experience participating in vendor selection process (RFPs, RFIs, scoring, evaluating)
- 4+ years experience leading teams in full project lifecycle (Business Analysis, Functional Specification, System Configuration, Design, Testing)
- 4+ years experience with payroll software products such as ADP, UKG (formerly UltiPro), Workday, Oracle Cloud, or SAP/SuccessFactors and system infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years of related experience in Payroll operations and Consulting experience
Nice to Have
- 4+ years experience working with global Fortune 500 firms
- 4+ years experience working with HR and/or Workforce Management (WFM) payroll functions and processes
- 4+ years experience developing and mentoring junior staff members
- 4+ years experience interacting at all levels within a client organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, with at least 2 years experience creating advanced Excel models
