About This Role

The HR & Safety Administrator supports both the Human Resource and Safety functions, maintaining company processes while managing administrative duties, documentation, and reporting for a construction materials supplier.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Talent Acquisition platform by updating job requisitions and postings
  • Lead weekly recruiting meetings with hiring managers and support candidate vetting
  • Support recruiting initiatives, sourcing activities, and coordination of hiring events
  • Track approvals to ensure timely processing and compliance with internal policies
  • Maintain and file documentation related to new‑hire progress, performance reviews, incident reports, and safety records
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for HR and safety program requirements
  • Document and manage all incident reports, including near misses, property damage, and injuries
  • Complete all required MSHA and OSHA documentation
  • Compile and distribute internal site audit reports
  • Oversee contractor qualification checklist database
  • Create checklists, forms, and toolbox talks to support safety communication
  • Assist with producing and editing training videos

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, EHS, or a related field
  • Prior experience in HR, safety administration, or office administration preferred
