Housekeeping Attendant

About This Role

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of club facilities at Providence Country Club, ensuring a presentable environment for members and guests. Key duties involve executing thorough cleaning tasks across various areas of the club.

Responsibilities

• Stock Room Attendant's cart and hand caddy
• Strip and remake beds with fresh linen
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays
• Clean guestrooms, including wiping window sills, walls, and light switches
• Vacuum rugs and floors
• Dust all furniture and fixtures
• Check lamps for burned-out light bulbs
• Place membership packet, comment card, and room service menu on desk; ensure phone books are in top desk drawer
• Check drapes for missing hooks
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Check heating and air conditioning unit for proper operation
• Change mattress pads and blankets, if needed
• Restock all stationary
• Clean and sanitize toilets and wash tiles, tub, shower walls, and fixtures
• Wipe shower curtain and clean sink and fixtures
• Restock towels, wash cloths, soap, glasses, and other supplies and amenities
• Report when guestrooms are clean and ready for sale
• Vacuum guest room hallways
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry
• Stock storage rooms
• Attend staff meetings

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and climbing
• Knowledgeable about maintaining, cleaning and preserving a wide variety of surfaces
• Ability to follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent desirable
• One year of comparable work preferred
