Housekeeping Attendant

About This Role

The Housekeeping Attendant will maintain cleanliness and orderliness of public areas within Woodfield Country Club, including lobbies, restrooms, and corridors, while also operating industrial laundering machines.

Responsibilities

• Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
• Dust furniture, clean windows, door panels, and window sills
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal area
• Replenish bathroom supplies
• Report FF&E deficiencies to Housekeeper Manager or Clubhouse Manager
• Complete daily special projects as assigned by Housekeeper Manager
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
• Operate industrial washing machines, wringers, and driers for various articles
• Utilize industrial press machine for articles like table linens and tablecloths
• Fold and place items in appropriate storage bin
• Lubricate machines and mend torn articles
• Sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists

Requirements

• Excellent service presentation and communication skills
• Outgoing personality and sense of urgency
• Read, write and speak English, fluently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment
• Ability to remain standing and in motion for the full shift
• Availability to work weekends and holidays

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in country club or upscale health club
