The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in rooms and furnishings within a facility, impacting patients on their road to recovery.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in assigned work areas as instructed, following cleaning schedules
- Use approved cleaning agents and equipment, following proper procedures
- Dust, damp wipe, spot clean, wash, sanitize, and polish all fixtures, furnishings, and furniture in resident's rooms
- Clean TVs, radios, pictures, feeding tables, light fixtures, shelves, chairs, tables, beds and bed frames, night stands, bed rails, and other surfaces
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
- Capable of performing essential job functions and physical and sensory requirements
Nice to Have
