Housekeeper

About This Role

The Housekeeper supports the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of Vail Health facilities, maintaining a sanitary environment that meets all health codes. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff, upholding the commitment to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service patient units, rooms, bathrooms, offices, and common areas throughout Vail Health facilities
• Perform housekeeping duties including vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting furniture and equipment, and polishing surfaces
• Replenish supplies such as soap and paper products
• Identify and report needed repairs to the Lead Housekeeper
• Properly use, care for, organize, and maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies
• Assist with linen deliveries to assigned areas and support laundry operations when needed
• Complete daily checklists and submit them to the Housekeeping office
• Work collaboratively with department team members and other hospital staff
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance at all times

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred; previous experience with floor-cleaning equipment or in a healthcare setting preferred.
