Housekeeper

About This Role

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining patient and non-patient areas within the hospital, ensuring a clean, safe, and empathetic environment for everyone.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning procedures in patient and non-patient areas to provide a clean and safe environment.
• Complete detailed cleaning duties (high dusting, blind cleaning) weekly or upon patient discharge/transfer.
• Clean, sanitize, and deodorize restrooms to meet quality expectations.
• Remove trash from cleaned areas to a central location for efficient disposal.
• Attend in-service programs, meetings, and complete Net Learning modules as required.
• Follow applicable safety steps and precautions to ensure safety for themselves, patients, and compliance with standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide services based on principles of growth and development over the lifespan.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors, and employees.
