Housekeeper

About This Role

This Housekeeper role is responsible for maintaining spotless cleanliness and providing friendly service to guests at the Hampton Inn & Suites Steele Creek. This position contributes to overall guest satisfaction by ensuring clean rooms and public spaces as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile, using their names whenever possible
• Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
• Maintain all areas, both front and back of the house, as sparkling clean and well-organized
• Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties including stocking room supplies
• Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms as assigned per shift
• Perform additional cleaning projects in storage rooms, public spaces, guest laundry, and deep cleaning as needed
• Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed per the Team Member Handbook, while wearing a nametag and smiling at all times
• Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate supervisor

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
• Effective listening and conflict resolution skills
• Clear communication skills
• Desire to serve all guests

Nice to Have

• Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field
