Housekeeper

About This Role

This Housekeeper role is responsible for ensuring guests have a happy experience by maintaining spotless cleanliness and product consistency within the hotel. The role involves cleaning and preparing guest rooms, hallways, and public areas, with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile, using their names whenever possible
• Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores and handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
• Maintain all areas, both front and back of the house, as sparkling clean and well-organized
• Perform pre-cleaning duties including stocking room supplies and tools, and assisting with dirty linen
• Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms as assigned per shift
• Complete additional cleaning projects as assigned by direct supervisor in storage rooms, public spaces, and guest laundry
• Complete all operational checklists accurately and at designated times every shift
• Provide accurate and timely shift handover reports for effective communication

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
• Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns from co-workers and guests
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
