Housekeeper

About This Role

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring guests have a clean, friendly, well-organized, and safe hotel experience by maintaining spotless cleanliness in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile, using their names whenever possible
• Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms as assigned per shift
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties including stocking room supplies on work cart and attending morning meetings
• Assist with dirty linen in the housekeeping laundry room
• Perform additional cleaning projects in storage rooms, public spaces, guest laundry, and deep cleaning activities as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all front and back of house areas
• Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
• Understand and follow established guidelines and procedures for cleaning and guest service
• Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using approved greeting

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
• Effective listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues with co-workers and guests
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
• Desire to serve all guests
• Willingness to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
