The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive environment within a senior living community, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are consistently met through adherence to established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Provide cleaning services inside residents' apartments and common areas
- Follow a cleaning schedule and instructions
- Adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, and sanitation
- Submit maintenance work orders to the Maintenance Director
- Report any unsafe/hazardous conditions within the community
Requirements
- Kindness and a desire to work with the elderly
- Ability to work well with people in emotional or stressful situations
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to learn and work within a team environment
- Good verbal communication and ability to read, write, and speak English
- Meet health requirements, including TB
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
