Housekeeper

About This Role

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the community by performing daily housekeeping functions. This role ensures the facility adheres to federal, state, and local standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions with established procedures as assigned
• Clean and disinfect floors, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing
• Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, and disinfect carpets
• Clean and polish furnishings in common areas, stairways, and elevators
• Clean resident rooms, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, and sanitizing bathrooms
• Collect all trash from rooms, offices, lounges, and bathrooms daily
• Clean walls, windows, and baseboards, ensuring all surfaces are smudge-free
• Report any needed repairs to maintenance personnel or Executive Director
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment, storage areas, and carts
• Launder community linens as needed

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent credentials preferred
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.
