Host/Hostess

About This Role

Serve as a Host/Hostess in a fast-paced environment, greeting guests, managing seating, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Maintain a friendly and inviting demeanor while acting as the first and last point of contact for guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner at the Hostess podium
• Engage in friendly conversation while seating guests in a timely fashion
• Introduce guests to their assigned server
• Manage restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectations
• Clear, clean, and reset tables to prepare them for the next guests
• Sincerely thank guests as they leave and invite them to return

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
