This role supports Vitalant's mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products, facilitating their packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. The Hospital Distribution Technician is a customer-focused individual who ensures order accuracy and professional delivery of life-saving products.
Responsibilities
- Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products
- Conduct visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy
- Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle
- Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability
- Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees
- Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Six months of similar customer service experience
- Able to lift 40lbs regularly
