Vitalant is seeking a Union Driver / Medical Courier to support their life-saving mission by delivering and transporting blood and blood products, maintaining relationships with hospitals, and actively participating in blood pickup activities at various locations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a great rapport with hospitals and vendors that we service
- Successfully deliver and transport blood, supplies, equipment, or other blood products
- Demonstrate safe operation of vehicle
- Manage the safe handling, cleaning, and tracking of biowaste
- Use exceptional problem-solving skills to manage weather-related driving issues as they arise
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Clean driving record with valid driver's license
- Able to lift 50+ lbs. with the assistance of a hand cart
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 6 months of similar experience preferred
