Healthcare Revenue Cycle Senior Consultant

About This Role

Join Deloitte's Healthcare Consulting practice as a Senior Consultant within the AI & Engineering team. You will transform technology platforms and re-engineer operations for healthcare clients, improving financial performance and accelerating digital ventures.

Responsibilities

• Work on engagements in a team-based environment, partnering with clients and Deloitte consultants
• Help lead workstreams within larger engagements, gather and analyze information, and formulate recommendations
• Present findings to senior client stakeholders and implement recommendations
• Begin to build long-term trusted advisor relationships with client counterparts

Requirements

• 4+ years professional experience in revenue cycle operations within healthcare provider, consulting, or technology vendor settings
• 3+ years experience translating requirements into optimized designs and identifying design alternatives
• 3+ years hands-on experience with PowerPoint
• 3+ years experience leading workstreams and/or small teams
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• Ability to travel 50% on average

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations in a health care provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in Patient Access, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Charge Integrity, Patient Financial Services
• Proficiency with financial, billing, and reimbursement data
• Working knowledge of UB-04, MA claim form, HCFA-1500, and claim scrubber
• Experience with hospital and physician financial and patient accounting systems (EPIC, Cerner, Soarian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, IDX, Eclipsys)
• Experience with advanced analytics tools (Python, Tableau) and SQL
• Basic understanding of automation and machine learning in healthcare
• Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA)
