Healthcare Revenue Cycle Manager

About This Role

Lead and deliver engagements for healthcare clients to transform revenue cycles, focusing on operating models, process improvements, and growth strategies within Deloitte's AI & Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver small engagements or components of large, complex engagements for healthcare clients focused on revenue cycle transformation
• Design operating models, process improvements, competitor benchmarking, cost transformation, customer/product innovation, and growth strategy recommendations
• Manage day-to-day client stakeholder relationships and oversee quality of deliverables, combining direct management with hands-on delivery
• Contribute to Deloitte thought leadership and business development (e.g., proposals, solution design) and lead development of junior team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional experts in software, data, AI, and cloud to design sector-specific solutions that drive measurable impact

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations within a healthcare provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment
• 5+ years of experience translating requirements into optimized designs, including identification of design alternatives and implications on functionality, effort, performance, and operations
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
• 4+ years of experience leading workstreams and/or small teams within the context of a larger project
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations within a healthcare provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in Patient Access, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Charge Integrity, Patient Financial Services
• Proficiency and experience with financial, billing, and reimbursement data
• Working knowledge of the UB-04, MA claim form, HCFA-1500, claim form and claim scrubber
• Experience with hospital and physician financial and patient accounting systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Soarian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, IDX, Eclipsys)
• Experience with tools that enable gathering insights through advanced analytics (Python, Tableau) and querying language (SQL)
• Basic understanding of automation and machine learning techniques as it applies to healthcare
• Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA)
