Healthcare Revenue Cycle Manager

About This Role

The Healthcare Revenue Cycle Manager will lead and deliver engagements for healthcare clients, focusing on revenue cycle transformation. This role involves designing operating models, process improvements, and growth strategies, while managing client relationships and overseeing deliverables within the AI & Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver small engagements or components of large, complex engagements for healthcare clients focused on revenue cycle transformation.
• Design operating models, process improvements, competitor benchmarking, cost transformation, customer/product innovation, and growth strategy recommendations.
• Manage day-to-day client stakeholder relationships and oversee quality of deliverables, combining direct management with hands-on delivery.
• Contribute to Deloitte thought leadership and business development (e.g., proposals, solution design) and lead development of junior team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional experts in software, data, AI, and cloud to design sector-specific solutions that drive measurable impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations within a healthcare provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment.
• 5+ years of experience translating requirements into optimized designs.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
• 4+ years of experience leading workstreams and/or small teams within the context of a larger project.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 6+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations within a healthcare provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Patient Access, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Charge Integrity, Patient Financial Services revenue cycle functions.
• Proficiency and experience with financial, billing, and reimbursement data.
• Working knowledge of the UB-04, MA claim form, HCFA-1500, claim form and claim scrubber.
• Experience with hospital and physician financial and patient accounting systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Soarian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, IDX, Eclipsys).
• Experience with tools that enable gathering insights through advanced analytics (Python, Tableau, etc.) and querying language (SQL).
• Basic understanding of automation and machine learning techniques as it applies to healthcare.
• Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA).
