Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consultant

Responsibilities

• Work on engagements in a team-based environment, partnering directly with clients and Deloitte consultants.
• Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop actionable recommendations, and leverage strong analytical skills.
• Help present team's findings to senior client stakeholders and implement recommendations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations in a health care provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment
• 2+ years of experience in translating requirements into optimized designs, and identifying design alternatives
• 3+ years hands on experience with PowerPoint
• Ability to travel 50%, on average
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations in a health care provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in one or more revenue cycle functions: Patient Access, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Charge Integrity, Patient Financial Services
• Proficiency and experience with financial, billing and reimbursement data
• Working knowledge of UB-04, MA claim form, HCFA-1500, claim form and claim scrubber
• Experience with hospital and physician financial and patient accounting systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Soarian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, IDX, Eclipsys)
• Experience with tools for advanced analytics (Python, Tableau) and querying language (SQL)
• Basic understanding of automation and machine learning techniques as it applies to healthcare
• Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA)
