Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consultant

Join the AI & Engineering team to help clients transform their technology platforms and drive innovation within the healthcare sector. Work collaboratively with clients and Deloitte consultants to improve financial performance and accelerate digital ventures.

Responsibilities

• Work on engagements in a team-based environment, partnering directly with clients and Deloitte consultants from complementary disciplines.
• Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop actionable recommendations, and leverage strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to support engagements.
• Help present team findings to senior client stakeholders and implement recommendations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations in a health care provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment
• 2+ years of experience in translating requirements into optimized designs, and identifying design alternatives and implications on functionality, effort, performance and operations
• 3+ years hands-on experience with PowerPoint
• Ability to travel 50%, on average
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations in a health care provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment. 2+ years of experience in translating requirements into optimized designs.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Patient Access, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Charge Integrity, Patient Financial Services
• Proficiency and experience with financial, billing and reimbursement data
• Working knowledge of UB-04, MA claim form, HCFA-1500, claim form and claim scrubber
• Experience with hospital and physician financial and patient accounting systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Soarian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, IDX, Eclipsys)
• Experience with tools for advanced analytics (Python, Tableau) and querying language (SQL)
• Basic understanding of automation and machine learning techniques as it applies to healthcare
• Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA)
