The Guest Coordinator is responsible for engaging with guests and promoting Ulta Beauty's services business through one-on-one interactions, both over the phone and in-person. They represent Ulta Beauty's image and culture, supporting managers by focusing on performance, guest service, and compliance standards. This role requires a passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and an aptitude for learning salon services and product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales.
- Provide exceptional guest service by acknowledging guests and offering friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
- Support the services team by managing salon phone calls, resolving guest concerns, operating the booking system, and suggesting add-on services.
- Build the services business by informing guests of promotions, inviting them to try services, and providing knowledgeable product and service recommendations.
- Influence and support service providers in rebooking and new guest acquisition.
- Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events.
- Stay informed on new and existing industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
- Develop guest relationships through interactions and provide appropriate retail and service recommendations.
- Identify guests’ needs by observing consultations and ensuring a 360° experience.
- Collaborate with managers, associates, stylists, and skin therapists to grow the business.
- Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships.
- Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with guests.
- Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.
- Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
- Support the services team with ensuring safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures are followed.
- Utilize scheduling tools to recommend schedule adjustments that maximize results.
- Communicate any supply needs to the Experience Manager.
- Contribute to maintaining outstanding store operational standards including cleanliness.
- Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system, Apple devices, Services Booking System)
- Demonstrate significant competency in sales, products, and service
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- High school diploma is preferred
- 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
