Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, ensuring food quality and kitchen cleanliness for a food service company. Maintain proper grill temperatures and manage food inventory.
Responsibilities
- Deep fry, grill, and sauté meats, fish, vegetables and other foods
- Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling and piercing
- Perform food preparation work for cooking, including seasoning
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe
- Maintain proper grill cooking temperatures
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times
- Manage food inventory
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Encourage good customer relations through product promotion
Requirements
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
