Serve as a trusted technical and domain expert to help local and state government customers achieve measurable outcomes across multiple OpenGov product suites, leveraging expertise in financial reporting, audit, compliance, and governmental accounting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical and functional advisor to customers, leveraging a public accounting background to guide solution design and best practices.
- Partner with customers to implement and optimize multiple OpenGov product suites, aligning technical architecture with financial, operational, and compliance requirements.
- Independently lead complex customer engagements, using professional expertise to perform discovery, conduct in-depth technical assessments, and develop tailored strategies.
- Prepare and provide professional demonstrations of assigned product suites to customers.
- Analyze complex, diverse problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors and limited precedent to develop innovative solutions.
- Clearly document and communicate customer technical objectives, timelines, recommendations, and outcomes.
- Effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required.
- Contribute to internal and external knowledge bases to support customers.
- Attend and participate in OpenGov conferences, off-site meetings, user groups, and webinars as assigned.
- Attend and participate in industry conferences and meetings as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience with implementing, supporting, managing, tracking and reporting on SaaS software
- Advanced technical aptitude with the ability to analyze complex systems, devise solutions, and clearly articulate technical concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, human relations, written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Strong negotiations skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of 5 years experience with implementing, supporting, managing, tracking and reporting on SaaS software
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree
- Prior experience working with government finance (e.g., ERP, budgeting, procurement) and government services (e.g., permitting, asset management) software and processes
- Prior experience working in local government
- Prior experience in customer success, professional services, or technical support
