Manage and provide direction to the educational and departmental activities for Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine accredited programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure house staff compliance with established policies and procedures
- Manage and coordinate GME conducted accreditation site visits for the program
- Maintain web-based GME accreditation data system and surveys for program
- Prepare and submit reports to GME, American Board of Medical Specialties, American Academy of Specialties, American Association of Medical Colleges, AMA, and other professional organizations
- Develop new procedures in response to new or revised policies issued by governing agencies or program director
- Manage the operations of the fellowship programs including budgeting, auditing, procurement, marketing, resident benefits, compliance, and accreditation
- Document and credential all graduate medical education training within the department
- Plan, organize, and schedule new house staff orientation
- Create fellow rotation schedules and monthly fellow conference schedules
- Implement and manage New Innovations Residency Management Suite database modules to analyze outcome data and improve program efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Thorough knowledge of web-based applications, database management, and software applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to interact with individuals of diverse cultures, religions, and languages
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Two (2) years of experience teaching or project management or customer service or with a higher education institution applying accreditation standards or government regulations preferred; OR a combination of education and experience to equal six (6) years.
Nice to Have
