GIS Solution Engineer

About This Role

This role involves shaping strategies for effective adoption of Esri technologies by presenting and demonstrating geospatial solutions to executives and strategic customers. It requires problem-solving skills and a passion for geospatial technology to improve how organizations address challenges.

Responsibilities

• Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the Geo Experience Center team
• Plan and execute sales strategies alongside the team
• Become a subject matter expert and technical expert of Esri's complete platform and strategic products
• Communicate the Esri message and anticipate customer needs and technology trends
• Proactively craft and propose solutions illustrating how geospatial technologies bring business value to customers
• Understand spatial problem solving, employ spatial theory, and break down problems into component parts
• Present technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to technical and non-technical customers
• Provide best practices related to the use and customization of Esri technology

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
• 1+ years of experience in various industries
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions
• Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
• Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development
• Strong programming or scripting experience with .NET, C++, Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript, or Java
• Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing)
• Able to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environments
• Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications; 1+ years of experience in various industries

Nice to Have

• Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
• Basic understanding of artificial/machine learning concepts
• Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
• Experience incorporating real-time information stream with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure
• Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
• Experience in and with 3D modeling software (Maya, Blender, Houdini)
• Master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
