General Laborer

About This Role

This role involves performing general duties of a basic, repetitive, and/or manual nature to support the daily operations within a work area, handling materials, and maintaining housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators as necessary
• Load and unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets
• Move, stack, or place items on conveyor manually or by mechanized means
• Deliver production or area specific items to designated work areas for processing
• Pack products in crates or boxes by hand
• Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled units
• Mark or put identifying labels on product loads
• Construct or de-construct shipping boxes
• Maintain general housekeeping of the assigned area
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
• Report quality and operational issues or irregularities to supervisor as they occur
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions and carry out instructions
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to legibly write entries for record keeping
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read, write and speak English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
