Full Stack Software Engineer

About This Role

Lead the design, build, and operation of data platform capabilities for data lifecycle management, ensuring compliance and reducing operational risk. Drive outcome-driven engineering solutions and provide technical leadership within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data platform capabilities for data lifecycle management (creation, classification, usage, retention, archiving, deletion)
• Lead the delivery of lifecycle controls embedded into modern data stacks (cloud storage, lakehouse/warehouse, data pipelines)
• Translate governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements into scalable engineering patterns and automation
• Embrace accountability for customer and business outcomes, developing lean engineering solutions
• Serve as a technical advocate for products, ensuring code integrity and alignment with business goals
• Maintain accountability for code design, implementation, quality, data, and ongoing maintenance and operations
• Create technical specifications, write high-quality, supportable, scalable code and review code of other engineers
• Develop lean engineering solutions through rapid experimentation to solve customer needs
• Utilize a leaning-forward approach for incremental and iterative delivery of supportable and maintainable solutions
• Collaborate with product management, experience, and delivery teams, integrating diverse perspectives for informed decisions
• Leverage advanced technical proficiency in software engineering practices like Agile and DevSecOps for daily product deployments
• Acquire domain-specific knowledge to translate business/user needs into technical specifications and code
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts and influence teammates and product teams

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
• Excellent software engineering foundation with deep understanding of OOP/OOD, sequence/activity/state/ER/DFD diagrams, data-structure, algorithms, code instrumentations
• 8+ years proven experience with Python, SQL/NoSQL
• 8+ years of experience with cloud-native engineering and understanding of Azure Data Pipelines/the Azure Portal Environment
• 8+ years delivering governed data platforms
• 2+ years of experience with AI/ML and GenAI
• Strong understanding of methodologies & tools like XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube
• Deep experience with at least one modern data platform and its governance controls (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse)
• Experience with implementing data governance and lifecycle management controls across Microsoft 365 (M365) applications (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, CoPilot)
• Experience with governance tools like Microsoft Purview
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
• 8+ years proven experience with Python, SQL/NoSQL and cloud-native engineering. 8+ years delivering governed data platforms.
