Full Stack Engineer

About This Role

As an experienced Full Stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy custom Android launcher solutions and advanced Android applications for enterprise use cases. You will lead technical discussions, execute development against approved designs, and maintain high-quality code, ensuring consistent behavior and secure user experiences across multiple Android versions and devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy custom Android launcher solutions for enterprise mobility use cases
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code for Android applications and supporting components
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform, ensuring stability, security, and usability in large-scale enterprise deployments
• Engineer solutions that work across multiple Android versions, device types, and screen sizes, ensuring consistent behavior and user experience
• Apply Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices to develop intuitive, efficient, and maintainable user interfaces
• Ensure alignment with Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines, while meeting enterprise operational and security requirements
• Lead design discussions, define technical approaches, and execute development against approved designs
• Establish and maintain a high-quality codebase through code reviews, refactoring, performance optimization, and testing practices
• Lead development implementation of the technology strategy within a defined set of teams
• Oversee the implementation of enterprise standards across domains including operations, infrastructure, data, applications, development, security and risk, and business continuity
• Drive digital innovation by leveraging new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate
• Document architecture, application design decisions, deployment procedures, and operational support processes for internal knowledge sharing
• Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams
• Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in Android platform development
• 5+ years' experience in Advanced Android application development
• Strong command of Android SDK and platform components
• 5+ years' experience with Android version/device compatibility (supporting multiple Android OS versions, screen sizes/form factors)
• 5+ years' experience with Android UI/UX
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Working knowledge of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
• 5+ years' experience with Java (design, build, and maintain reusable, reliable, and performant Java code for Android)
• 5+ years' experience in architecture & standards (aligning solution design and implementation to enterprise architecture standards and security/risk requirements)
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

• 5+ years' Experience: Android platform development, Android version/device compatibility, Android UI/UX, and Java, as well as 5+ years in Architecture & standards
