Full Stack Engineer

About This Role

As an experienced Full Stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy custom Android launcher solutions and advanced applications for enterprise mobility. You will work within Deloitte's Project Delivery Talent Model, collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code for Android applications while leading design discussions and maintaining a high-quality codebase.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy custom Android launcher solutions for enterprise mobility use cases, including packaging, signing, and controlled distribution at scale
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code for Android applications and supporting components
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform, ensuring stability, security, and usability in large-scale enterprise deployments
• Engineer solutions that work across multiple Android versions, device types, and screen sizes, ensuring consistent behavior and user experience
• Apply Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices to develop intuitive, efficient, and maintainable user interfaces
• Lead design discussions, define technical approaches, and execute development against approved designs while navigating and improving complex existing codebases
• Establish and maintain a high-quality codebase through code reviews, refactoring, performance optimization, and testing practices
• Oversee the implementation of enterprise standards across domains including operations, infrastructure, data, applications, development, security and risk, and business continuity
• Document architecture, application design decisions, deployment procedures, and operational support processes for internal knowledge sharing
• Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in Android platform development
• Strong command of Android SDK and platform components
• Ability to support multiple Android OS versions and handle different screen sizes/form factors
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Working knowledge of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Ability to design, build, and maintain reusable, reliable, and performant Java code for Android
• Ability to align solution design and implementation to enterprise architecture standards and security/risk requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• 5+ years' experience in Android platform development including advanced Android application development and strong command of Android SDK and platform components, Android version/device compatibility, Android UI/UX, and Java
