Provide exceptional customer service to patients and referral sources while coordinating and administering front office activities for a comprehensive vision care provider.
Responsibilities
- Schedule visits for patients and maintain EMR records and accounts
- Greet patients for appointments and ensure they remain on schedule
- Validate patient eligibility and manage prior authorizations
- Comfort patients by anticipating needs and answering questions
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and supply inventory
- Manage patient accounts by updating insurance and financial information
- Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality
- Accept and route deliveries to appropriate departments
- Answer incoming calls
- Work at multiple facilities within the market as needed
Requirements
- 2-3 years of clerical/reception experience in a medical office setting
- EMR Experience
- Ability to type 40 to 50 WPM
- Proficiency with standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office®)
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of clerical/reception experience in a medical office setting
Nice to Have
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
