Forklift Operator Warehouse

About This Role

Ryder is seeking a Material Handler to join their warehouse team in Hagerstown, MD. This role involves performing various warehouse functions including operating forklifts, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving computer products, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks
• Deal with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ year related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

Nice to Have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
