Lead and supervise food production teams, ensuring daily targets are met and operations comply with food safety and quality standards (FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP). This role focuses on promoting safety, monitoring metrics for improvement, and developing employees.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production teams to meet daily targets and schedules
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability across both production buildings
- Monitor production metrics (yield, downtime, efficiency, waste) and identify improvement opportunities
- Partner with QA, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
- Train, coach, and develop employees to support growth and performance
- Enforce company policies and ensure consistent application of standards
Requirements
- Experience in food manufacturing or related production environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and manufacturing best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Available to work Sundays and flexible hours
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of KPIs/OEE and process improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Business Central experience a plus
