Fire and Security Systems Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and security systems across Yuma County, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical aspects of design, installation, functionality, and repair of electronic communications, surveillance, security, and access control systems
• Manage technical aspects of design, installation, functionality, and repair of Fire Systems
• Design, seek bids, and make recommendations for purchases of new security and fire safety equipment
• Determine, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding security system requirements and modifications for existing systems and new construction
• Supervise, train, and evaluate subordinates, participating in interviewing and selecting new employees
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in installation, testing, and maintenance of security and fire safety equipment
• Analyze and resolve performance problems involving security systems and fire safety equipment
• Develop hardware and software requirements and modify system configurations based on user requirements
• Create technical support procedures and practices for users and conduct equipment training
• Monitor the Fire/Security System budget and serve as liaison between the department and other entities

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering, Industrial Security or related field or equivalent experience
• 4 years of experience in industrial electronic security work
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• 1 year of project management experience
• Valid Arizona driver’s license
• Successful completion of a background check

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering, Industrial Security or related field
• Four (4) years of experience in industrial electronic security work, including two (2) years of supervisory experience and one (1) year of project management experience
