Finishing Operator

About This Role

This role is responsible for all aspects of the finishing operation, focusing on safety, quality, production, and basic maintenance. You will operate polishing, buffing, and deburring equipment, perform visual inspections, and prepare materials in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate polishing, buffing, deburring equipment, or saws according to production specifications
• Ensure product quality and meet production goals while minimizing scrap and downtime
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and adjustments to tooling and holding fixtures as needed
• Conduct visual inspections to detect defects, burrs, or damage on finished parts
• Load and unload parts from assigned machines efficiently and safely
• Prepare raw materials for production processes
• Monitor machine operations to identify part defects or equipment malfunctions; promptly report issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with housekeeping and safety standards

Requirements

• Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions
• Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels
• Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
• Good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)
